R. Radha Krishna Murthy
Graduated in Electrical Engineering in the year 1958
from Madras University and joined Government service
during 1958 and later in the service of APSEB. Worked
in several capacities and in various wings of APSEB
namely designs organization, commercial, rural electrification,
operation & maintenance of distribution, personnel
department and project planning and implementation.
He was in-charge of Personnel Department for about
a decade and made significant contribution in manning
a large establishment of about 60,000 employees and
also in implementing major reforms in the set up.
He was responsible for formulation of schemes for
electrifying rural areas covering thousands of villages.
He is also responsible for designing and implementing
several 33/11KV sub-stations, 33/11KV sub-transmission
lines and 11KV/400V distribution network. He is also
responsible in introducing hot line techniques for
attending maintenance jobs on the live lines and equipment
resulting in saving of revenue to the organization.
After studying the pattern of existing meter reading,
billing, collection of revenue etc, introduced several
reforms for effective utilization of revenue organization
and to improve the financial status of the Board.
TAYI KRISHNA RAO
Mr T Krishna Rao held important positions in the AP
State Electricity Board including Chief Engineer,
Corporate Planning.
Krishna Rao has about three years experience in planning,
design and material procurement for various substation
for both sub-transmission and transmission systems
with a view to enhance the transformer capacitors
in the existing substations in addition to new substations.
About 30 years in preparation of technical specifications,
bid evaluation, placing orders, quality control, inspections
etc. Inspection of Distribution Improvement works
executed under World Bank loan in the Indian State
of Andhra Pradesh. Also design of structures for lines
and substations and foundations. He excels in evaluation
and award of construction contracts and related works,
execution of major substations including HVDC, transmission
line, upgrading of existing line for operation at
higher voltages etc and many other innovative works.
C. PEDA BAPULU
Mr. Bapulu was in-charge of construction of number
of 33/11 KV Substations and Lines, interlinking lines,
distribution transformers, renovation of lines, Maintenance
of supply conditions to major industries. Maintaining
of double circuits construction power in trivial conditions
by taking special effort in rectifying the line. He
was responsible for erection of number of distribution
transformers lines, network strengthening and renovation
of old lines, construction of EHT Substations and
Lines, supply conditions and system maintenance.
He stream lined the distribution functioning network,
increased metered sales, helped in reduction of line
losses. Was responsible for reduction of percentage
of failure of distribution transformers, enforcing
quality in Construction works. Selected as best Superintending
Engineer / Operations during 2002 – 2003.
He was in-charge of Operation wing of the entire
region in Andhra pradesh. His role included ensuring
supply conditions, providing of stipulated hours of
3-Phase supply to agricultural sector, stream lining
of repairs to power and distribution transformers,
and Energy Audit.
As a Chief Engineer he was in-charge of Projects under
REC, PFC, APDRP, UG Cable works, Preparation of schemes,
Tendering process awarding of works, review and monitoring
the quality control
